A head-on collision on State Route 24 near Yakima claimed multiple lives and left others injured.
A head-on collision on State Route 24 left multiple people dead and others injured near Milepost 21, about 25 miles east of Yakima Friday night.
Authorities reported that one vehicle was traveling eastbound while another was heading westbound at the same location around 9:45 p.m. Investigators said the eastbound vehicle attempted to pass in the westbound lane before striking the other vehicle head-on.
Two occupants of the eastbound vehicle, a 39-year-old and a 38-year-old, were pronounced deceased at the scene. Both were reported as not wearing seatbelts. Two
