Multiple arrests made amid protest of faith-based event outside Seattle City Hall

Mayday 2025 hosted a rally in Seattle, just a few days after one that led to more than 20 arrests.

SEATTLE — Seattle police arrested at least eight people protesting a faith-based group event outside City Hall Tuesday.

Traffic in downtown was significantly impacted due to the event. Fourth Avenue was closed from Columbia Street to South Washington Street. James Street was closed between Third and Fifth avenues. Cherry Street was closed from Third to Fourth Avenues.

Tuesday’s event followed a permitted rally held by Mayday 2025 over the weekend erupted into violence, leading to 23 arrests.
