A fatal three-vehicle crash on State Route 7 left one motorcyclist dead, closing the road for hours in Pierce County, as investigators continue to probe the cause.
PIERCE COUNTY, Wash. — A fatal three-vehicle collision shut down a stretch of State Route 7 in Pierce County for several hours Saturday night, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Troopers were dispatched at about 9:21 p.m. to SR-7 near Pilgrim Road East. Investigators say a motorcycle traveling northbound in a single lane struck a southbound vehicle. A second southbound vehicle then collided with the same car.
The motorcyclist, a 67-year-old, was pronounced dead at the scene.
