Nicole Smith-Mathews is championing the launch of a mobile opioid treatment center to aid rural Snohomish County’s underserved communities.
MONROE, Wash. — As she climbed aboard Snohomish County’s latest tool in battling drug addiction, Nicole Smith-Mathews hoped today would open a door to changing lives for the better.
Smith-Mathews, who works to help people overcome drug addiction, has seen firsthand how the crisis affects families and friends.
“Just being there to support them through and know there are services like this is really important,” she said.
