Mill Creek Community Food Bank begins building a larger facility after a storm destroyed its former site.
MILL CREEK, Wash. — The Mill Creek Community Food Bank broke ground this week on a new, larger facility, just five months after a powerful February windstorm toppled a tree and destroyed much of the organization’s former facilities.
Tom Sweeney, executive director of the Hope Creek Charitable Foundation, which operates the food bank, described the recovery as “nothing short of a miracle.”
