Microsoft faces backlash over Gaza war censorship claims

Media reports in recent days claim Microsoft actively censors employee discourse about the ongoing war in Gaza.

SEATTLE — At least two advocacy groups are accusing Microsoft of censoring its employees — the latest development in ongoing fallout from the tech giant’s alleged ties to the Israeli military.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations said in a statement Thursday that internal Microsoft emails containing keywords related to the ongoing war in Gaza are failing to send. The group “condemned Microsoft for their apparent censorship.”
