Man shot, killed by police responding to domestic violence call in Algona

The man suspected of shooting two family members was still ‘actively in the process’ of shooting when police arrived to the scene March 3.

PACIFIC, Wash. — Police responding to a domestic violence call shot and killed a man suspected of shooting two family members at a home in Algona Tuesday morning.

The man, believed to be in his late 30s, was “still actively in the process of firing off rounds” when police arrived, according to Algona Police Chief James Schrimpser. One Pacific police officer shot the suspect, according to preliminary information.
