ISSAQUAH, Wash — A man is in the hospital after being shot by an Issaquah police officer during a “physical struggle.”
The Independent Force Investigation Team – King County (IFIT), which investigates all police shootings in King County, said officers first responded to an apartment on Front Street for a report of a man experiencing a mental health crisis.
Issaquah police made contact with the man, “where a physical struggle occurred,” per IFIT. During the altercation, the man was shot once in the leg, IFIT said.
