Man assaulted during Seattle street takeover event, police say

The 52-year-old man was assaulted during reports of street racers doing donuts and blocking Seattle traffic

A man was assaulted during a street takeover event in Seattle early Sunday morning, according to the Seattle Police Department.

According to a Seattle Department of Transportation camera, just after midnight on Sunday morning the intersection of Denny Way and Broad Street was blocked for nearly 30 minutes for street racers doing donuts in the middle of the road.

Participants used scooters and bicycles to block traffic lanes.
