BELLINGHAM, Wash — A man is in custody after an 18-month-old child overdosed on fentanyl at a Bellingham home in mid-February.
Officers and medical personnel responded to a home on McKenzie Avenue on Feb. 18 for a medical call of a young child not breathing after getting hold of a straw through which fentanyl had been smoked, according to the Bellingham Police Department.
Narcan was administered to the baby when first responders showed up, and it responded positively to the treatment. The child recovered from the incident after being transported to the emergency room and was diagnosed as having overdosed on fentanyl. The child recovered and was
