An arraignment for Gunnar Schubert continued for a second time on Friday.
OLYMPIA, Wash. — A man charged with vandalizing the Washington State Capitol is undergoing a mental health evaluation, delaying his most recent court appearance.
Prosecutors continued Gunnar Schubert’s Friday arraignment to Nov. 4, as he remains in custody facing charges of burglary and malicious mischief.
He was set to enter pleas to the charges Friday afternoon.
The incident occurred on the night of Sunday, Oct. 5, when the State Patrol says Schubert broke into the Capitol building and began ransacking the historic site. He knocked over signs and statues,
