Man accused of stabbing Bellevue officer after making fake 911 call

Prosecutors allege a 38-year-old man made a fake 911 call to get police to respond to the Bellevue Transit Center on Friday, then stabbed an officer.

BELLEVUE, Wash. — A 38-year-old man is accused of making a false 911 call, then stabbing a responding Bellevue Police Department police officer with a kitchen knife on Friday, Dec. 12.

The King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Mohamed Morray Bangura with first- and second-degree assault on Monday. Bangura remains in jail on $5 million bail.
