Man accused of pulling gun on law enforcement in Kitsap County taken into custody

CHICO, Wash. — The Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office has taken a man into custody who is accused of pulling a gun on law enforcement Tuesday evening.

Authorities said the 55-year-old man has active felony warrants and was considered armed.

The search began on Chico Way near state Route 3 before moving to Erlands Point near Dyes Inlet and Chico Bay.

The sheriff’s office said the man pulled out a gun and then ran away. No shots were fired. No injuries were reported.

The King County Sheriff’s Office sent a helicopter to aid the search. Police were also expected to use drones
