Lynnwood police rescue tiny puppy from dumpster

The puppy is now safe and being taken into foster care, police say.

LYNNWOOD, Wash — Police in Lynnwood managed to rescue a tiny puppy from a dumpster on Tuesday night, and are asking for help in tracking down the suspect who abandoned it.

At 10:22 p.m. Tuesday, the Lynnwood Police Department (LPD) posted on social media that its officers had been called to a report of an animal in a dumpster.

No further location was given, but police say they found the puppy “cold, scared and covered in debris.”
