SEATTLE — Seattle’s enduring interest in professional men’s basketball, despite the abrupt loss of the SuperSonics, is testament to the inevitable return of the beloved franchise, according to leaders in the community, to bring the NBA back to Seattle.
“There is a lost generation here that has no experience with professional men’s basketball in the city,” former NBA player Spencer Hawes told a Seattle City Council committee this week.
