SEATTLE — Washington state is feeling the impacts of an overnight windstorm while simultaneously juggling the ongoing fallout of devastating flooding in the region. 

Puget Sound-area power companies reported hundreds of thousands of customers were in the dark early Wednesday morning. Tuesday night’s windstorm was primed to blow down trees across the region after heavy rains inundated the soil over the past week.
