Leavenworth woman recounts harrowing encounter with mountain goat

PULLMAN, Wash. — A Leavenworth woman says her dog is recovering from serious internal injuries after an encounter with a mountain goat during a weekend trail run near Cle Elum.

Katie Warren said her five-year-old husky, Nimbus, suffered a punctured pancreas, small intestine, and bowels after a confrontation with the animal Saturday.
