Leavenworth delays holiday display amid impact from severe weather

The city says a wide-scale outage is affecting over 5,000 Chelan County residents.

LEAVENWORTH, Wash. — A Chelan County city known for its holiday festival will not hold a popular display this weekend as impacts continue from severe weather in the area.

Leavenworth says its Village of Lights display in Front Street Park for the Christmastown festival will not be illuminated. Heavy rains and wind this week have led to river flooding, debris flows and downed trees all around western Washington.
