‘Large sinkhole’ forms in Bellevue intersection following water main break

A water main break caused a “large sinkhole” to form at a Bellevue intersection. There is currently no water service in the area.

BELLEVUE, Wash. — Water service is out in a Bellevue neighborhood, and an intersection is closed for an extended period while city crews fix a water main break and a “large sinkhole” that formed after. 

The main broke at the intersection of 148th Avenue Northeast and Northeast 20th Street, north of the Bellevue Highlands, near the Redmond city line.
