Authorities say their biological mother “absconded” with the children to Renton, later telling the legal guardian that she had custody.
RENTON, Wash. — Two children were located and reunited with their legal guardian Friday evening after authorities say their biological mother allegedly took them during an unsupervised holiday visit and refused to return them.
Lakewood police say on Dec. 28, the children’s legal guardian allowed their father to have unsupervised visitation with the two children. During that visit, the children’s biological mother contacted the father after recently being released from prison and asked to take the children shopping. The father agreed.
