The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration confirms a weather shift through 2025 and into early next year.
SEATTLE — La Niña conditions have arrived in the Pacific Northwest, according to a new advisory issued by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
The advisory, issued Thursday, confirmed that La Niña conditions emerged in the region in September as shown by below-average sea surface temperatures across the central and eastern Pacific Ocean.
Typically during a La Niña winter the forecast for western Washington calls for wetter and cooler conditions.
