Kirkland’s MEOW Cat Rescue: Adoptions needed for 300-day feline shelter resident and cat rescued from coyote attack

Dozens of cats are awaiting adoption at MEOW Cat Rescue. All need loving homes, while some also require medical care post-adoption.

KIRKLAND, Wash. — For nearly 300 days, Chessie the cat has been waiting at Kirkland’s MEOW Cat Rescue.

The adult cat, pictured below, was “dumped” at a drive-thru coffee shop, according to shelter manager Adolfo Dorta.

The person who brought her to the shelter was unable to keep her.

“Chessie is very active and very sweet,” Dorta said.
