KING COUNTY, Wash. — King County experienced a significant decrease in gun violence during the second quarter of the year, with shooting victims dropping 31% compared to the previous year and overall gun violence reaching a four-year low, according to new statistics released by the county.
The spring quarter saw 69 shootings in King County — 14 fatal and 55 non-fatal incidents — marking progress with declining gun violence after the first quarter also showed a decrease in shots fired.
