KING COUNTY, Wash. — The King County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) has restored deputy staffing to pre-shortage levels in unincorporated areas after the King County Council approved $845,000 in funding to reverse cuts made earlier this year.
The restoration brings deputy staffing back to six per shift in the North Precinct and eight in the Southeast Precinct, addressing concerns about response times and public safety in communities like Preston.
