Kent teen charged with supporting ISIS, linked to alleged Michigan terror plot

KENT, Wash. — A 19-year-old man from Kent has been charged in U.S. District Court with conspiracy to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization.

Investigators allege Saed Ali Mirreh provided financial support to a group the FBI has connected to an Oct. 31 terrorist plot in Michigan. Investigators claim Mirreh portrayed himself as the group’s financier, planned to travel to Turkey to eventually join ISIS, and discussed acts of violence on behalf of the terror network.
