PARKLAND, Wash. — A Tacoma jury returned a $130 million verdict in favor of the estate of a two-year-old girl who died from abuse in 2022.
Family of Sarai Brooks sued Washington state and the daycare the girl attended, alleging more could have been done by both entities to prevent the girl’s death.
