A Thurston County couple is on trial for attempted murder after choking their daughter outside a Lacey high school.
OLYMPIA, Wash. — Was it a crime or an accident?
Jurors will now decide if a Thurston County couple choked their daughter on purpose last October.
Ihsan and Zahraa Ali face several charges, including attempted murder, assault, and attempted kidnapping.
Their then-17-year-old daughter told jurors her father tried to kill her during a fight in front of Timberline High School in Lacey.
The girl said she ran away that morning because she said she did not feel safe at home.
