SEATTLE — Leaders of the Jewish community in western Washington are speaking out following what federal investigators are calling a targeted act of terrorism that left two Israeli embassy staffers dead in Washington, D.C.
The FBI confirmed Sarah Milgrim, an American, and Yaron Lischinsky, an Israeli citizen, were shot and killed during a diplomatic reception hosted by the American Jewish Committee (AJC) Wednesday night. The couple, described by friends as “vibrant” and soon-to-be engaged, were attending the event when the suspect opened fire.
