A man is hospitalized, and nearby schools have been placed under a lockdown.
PIERCE COUNTY, Wash. — Pierce County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a shooting reported Wednesday morning near 104th Street East and 13th Avenue Court East.
According to the sheriff’s office, the incident was reported at 10:06 a.m. after a vehicle was seen in the neighborhood and something occurred between the people inside the vehicle and a homeowner. Deputies say the circumstances that led to the shooting remain unclear, and a man and a woman fled the scene before deputies arrived.
