Idaho bans release of crime scene photos showing dead bodies following Moscow murders

Idaho Gov. Brad Little signed a bill into law Thursday that bans the release of crime scene photos showing dead bodies under investigation.

BOISE, Idaho — Idaho banned the release of photos showing dead bodies under investigation by law enforcement or coroners on Thursday, more than three years after the University of Idaho student murders. 

Gov. Brad Little signed Senate Bill 1250 into law, which was drafted after Kaylee Goncalves, Ethan Chapin, Maddie Mogen and Xana Kernodle were stabbed to death in their off-campus house in Moscow on Nov. 13, 2022.
