ICE arrests in Washington spike in June

Nationwide, an estimated 56,945 people were in ICE custody as of late July.

TACOMA, Wash. — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested at least 275 people in Washington state in June — more than double the monthly totals earlier in the year, which ranged between 84 and 137 arrests from January through May.

The data, obtained by the Deportation Data Project at UC Berkeley School of Law and compiled by KING 5, is based on internal ICE arrest logs and includes arrests recorded through June 26.
