The Skagit County Sheriff’s Office said they were conducting a boat search of the Skagit River Thursday when they located the remains.
SKAGIT COUNTY, Wash. — The Skagit County Sheriff’s Office said it located human remains during a boat search of the Skagit River on Thursday.
According to the sheriff’s office, the remains were found near milepost 90 on state Route 20 near Concrete. Deputies were conducting a follow-up on a missing-person case with a marine patrol unit before the discovery, officials said.
Detectives are on scene investigating, and the public is asked to avoid the area.
