SEATTLE — A longtime Seattle Mariners fan, now living in Connecticut, played an unlikely role in keeping the team in Seattle nearly three decades ago, when he was just a middle school student.
Jeremy Grant, now in his 40s, was a 12-year-old student body president at St. Anne School in Seattle in 1995 when he urged the King County Council to support funding for a new stadium.
