A medical emergency led to the tragic death of a 65-year-old woman in Hoquiam, causing Levee Street closure and traffic rerouting as authorities investigate.
HOQUIAM, Wash. — A 65-year-old Hoquiam woman has died after suffering a medical emergency that caused her to fall into a roadway Wednesday morning, according to Hoquiam Police.
Emergency crews were dispatched around 9:12 a.m. to what was initially reported as a vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision in the 500 block of Levee Street. When first responders arrived, they determined the woman had not been hit by a vehicle.
