The Hood Canal Bridge will close overnight for repairs from September 21 to 25.
TACOMA, Wash. — If the Hood Canal Bridge is part of your commute, you’ll want to plan ahead. The Washington State Department of Transportation says the bridge will close overnight for five straight nights for repairs.
From Sunday, September 21, through Thursday, September 25, the bridge will shut down completely from 8 p.m. until 5:30 a.m. No vehicles will be allowed through, not even emergency responders.
Crews are working on the steel tracks that help guide the bridge when it opens for boat traffic. The agency says years of storms,
