Trooper Rick Johnson said Sunday the WSP determined the deaths were related after interviewing the victim’s families.
The WSP received a call from a driver who said they saw a person in a northbound lane of the freeway on Thursday, according to Johnson. Troopers arrived and found the boy had gunshot wounds and had no reason to believe the teen was struck by a car.
Around 8 a.m. the following morning on Friday, the WSP received another call about a body in a ditch along I-5, which was near the same area where the first teenager was found hours before. Troopers are working to determine if the
