The top two candidates will face off in the November election.
TACOMA, Wash. — John Hines and Anders Ibsen are leading in the race to become Tacoma’s next mayor, according to early primary results released Tuesday.
Hines holds 20% of the vote, with Ibsen ahead with 35.8%. The top two finishers in the primary will advance to the general election in November.
Counties typically release additional results daily following the election.

Hines has served on the Tacoma City Council for the past five years, including time as deputy mayor.
