PORT ANGELES, Wash. — Washington state was under a tsunami advisory from Tuesday evening through Wednesday morning. This was after a massive earthquake that struck off a Russian peninsula sent shockwaves across the Pacific.
Washington didn’t see what many people would think of as “typical tsunami waves” that cause major destruction, but tides up and down the West Coast were between a half a foot and 4 feet higher than normal.
