SEATTLE — The Cascade Mountains were inundated with snow last week in the biggest snowstorm the region has seen so far this year.
The snowfall was a big help to the region’s snowpack, but its lasting impact remains uncertain as an atmospheric river is poised to raise snow levels and drench western Washington with rain this week.
