SEATTLE — Seattle fire crews responded to a reported hazardous materials incident Friday afternoon at a commercial building in the 1700 block of East Cherry Street.
According to the Seattle Fire Department, HazMat crews monitored the building and determined it was safe to reoccupy. All units later cleared the scene and returned to service.
The Seattle Police Department said officers responded just before 4 p.m. after a letter was delivered to a Washington State Department of Social and Health Services office inside the building. The
