Handyman pleads not guilty in murder case of Marcia Norman

The Thurston County coroner called the investigation the “worst case I’ve witnessed.” He said Norman was beaten with a nail gun for hours before she died.

THURSTON COUNTY, Wash. — The handyman accused of beating an 82-year-old customer to death appeared Tuesday morning in court.  

Prosecutors said Jeffrey Zizz killed Marcia Norman, 82, last month. Detectives said Zizz buried Norman’s remains beneath a shed he had built for another client.

Zizz entered not guilty pleas Tuesday to all charges. He was charged April 23 with two counts of first-degree murder while armed with a deadly weapon, including premeditated murder, first-degree kidnapping and unlawful disposal
