Chaos erupted at Alderwood Mall last year when a stray bullet killed Jayda Woods-Johnson, an innocent bystander.
LYNNWOOD, Wash. — It was exactly one year ago, July 3 at 6:04 p.m., when chaos consumed Lynnwood’s Alderwood Mall. Families were preparing to celebrate the July 4th holiday when a uniquely American tragedy played out once again.
The school grounds are empty now, and so is Tabatha Johnson’s heart. Her daughter Jayda would have finished eighth grade this year. Tabatha returns to the school occasionally to remember happier days.
“This is kind of the last place we have those memories,” Johnson said during a Thursday visit
