Gov. Inslee extends Washington's eviction protections through October

Gov. Jay Inslee is extending his so-called “bridge proclamation” — which replaced Washington’s moratorium on evictions — by 30 days, he announced at a news conference Thursday.

The proclamation was scheduled to expire on Sept. 30. Inslee said he granted the brief extension to allow counties more time to distribute the hundred-of-millions of state and federal dollars earmarked
