Gov. Bob Ferguson reveals $244 million housing plan

The plan includes investments for repairing affordable and flood damaged homes and $225 million in bonds for the state’s Housing Trust Fund.

SEATTLE — Gov. Bob Ferguson on Thursday announced more than $244 million in proposed housing investments and signed an executive order creating a task force to explore forming a new state Department of Housing. 

The task force created is set to provide suggestions for cost, structure and more regarding a new housing agency by November 2026.
