Seba Abuabeda is one of 11 injured Gazan children evacuated to the U.S. — the largest known transfer of wounded children from Gaza to America.
SEATTLE — Seba Abuabeda, a 12-year-old girl from a refugee camp in central Gaza, arrived in Seattle on Sunday evening with a singular hope: to walk again.
In January, while sheltering with her family in a tent at a school, Seba lost both of her legs in an Israeli airstrike, according to the U.S.-based nonprofit HEAL Palestine. The nonprofit organized her evacuation from Gaza to Seattle.
