GIG HARBOR, Wash. — On the shores of Gig Harbor, an eclectic team of athletes practices for one of the biggest events in Seattle. Regardless of their age, everyone pulls their weight in the Dragon Boats.
“It’s the group spirit as you’re moving the boat and pushing toward a goal that you all have in mind,” Alyssa Roberts said. “It’s very empowering. It’s almost a spiritual experience on the water.”
