SEATTLE — Seattle is taking significant steps to bolster its vibrant music scene, introducing new legislation to provide priority parking for musicians and advancing efforts to protect concertgoers’ hearing. 

The Seattle City Council has created a new Music Venue Zone Permit program, allowing the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) to issue permits that prioritize parking for musicians and their crews. This program addresses a long-standing logistical challenge for artists and venues.
