TACOMA, Wash. — School resource officers will no longer be stationed on any Franklin Pierce School District campuses — a decision that drew cheers from local parents, activists and alumni during a rally that blended celebration with demands for further change.
“Make some noise because we canceled that contract!” one speaker shouted to the crowd.
