PIERCE COUNTY, Wash. — A high-speed street racing takeover shut down multiple intersections in Tacoma on Saturday night, drawing more than 100 people and prompting a law enforcement crackdown.
Pierce County deputies responded to the illegal gathering near East 11th Street and East Alexander Avenue. As deputies moved in, several drivers fled the scene. One vehicle crashed into another near Highway 509. All four occupants were arrested.
Body camera footage captured the arrest, showing deputies ordering the suspects out at gunpoint.
