Former Army Ranger’s troubled past ends in fatal standoff

SEATTLE — The man who died during a standoff with police in Madison Park on Friday was killed by a self-inflicted gunshot wound, Seattle police said Tuesday.

Daniel Jolliffe, 53, opened fire on officers responding to a domestic violence call at the Broadmoor Manor apartment complex, according to police.
